FIN Outdoor returns to the Halifax Public Gardens to present the Summer of Sarah Polley this July.
Produced by FIN Atlantic International Film Festival (FIN AIFF), the beloved FIN Outdoor summer movie series returns for the first time since 2019, and proudly presents the Summer of Sarah Polley - celebrating Canadian icon Sarah Polley - at the Halifax Public Gardens this July.
Sarah Polley is an author, activist, acclaimed actor and one of the most important and influential Canadian directors of the past 20 years. Forging her own path, she’s been in our hearts for decades and now it’s time to revisit some highlights from her storied career in film.
“We’re excited to once again screen films outdoors in the beautiful Halifax Public Gardens, and to relaunch our popular “Summer Of..” theme,” says Martha Cooley, Executive Director of FIN. “We’ve been screening Sarah PoIley’s work at the festival for years and with the recent publication of her book of personal essays, “Run Towards the Danger,” and the upcoming release of her first feature film in a decade, “Women Talking,” we couldn’t have picked a better year to celebrate Sarah Polley.”
